ATI’s Got the Stereoscopic 3D Papers Rollin’

Not a lot of people have noticed that in the specs for the latest Radeon HD 5000 series GPUs the guys at ATI have added one interesting new feature that is becoming to generate quite a lot if interest lately. Yes, we are talking about the “3D stereoscopic display/glasses support” thingy that is present in the specs for every Radeon HD 5870, 5850, 5770 and 5850 VGA, but that is pretty much everything there is. There is a little bit of “clarification” present in the specs, the little 13 index at the end states that “Requires 3D stereo drivers, glasses, and display” that actually does not clarify a thing about the stereoscopic 3D support! …read on

Continuing the videocard topic – I had interesting experience with one fellow NVIDIA guy. Just after we started arguing which are the better cards (we couldn’t resolve it as I don’t play Crysis or any other FPS for that matter), I told him about something that I’ve read recently at Fudzilla. The eternal struggle for overpowerness still holds the Red team. The reason we start with this topic is that we got really bored reading how much better is ATI with DirectX 11 and multi-monitor support, and all the greatness you receive when you buy HD58xx. Dear ATI, we guess it suits you right to kick the supposedly dead horse of the green team, but yelling how good you are in your Twits, pointing the fact NVIDIA probably doesn’t even have a board ready, just reminds us that fact say ATI has good history of showing off paper dragons that eat dirt when they finally come out.
