ABOUT US

Under: No Commented

In ideal world the job of anyone that writes reviews (or shoots videos in the same manner) would be to give his readers the objective truth about the products or services that are subject of reviewing. We all know, or at least guess that many of the reviews out there aren’t really… well – as objective as we want them to be, and they are rarely written with care about the consequences. And they often are connected to the readers’ pockets, you know.

Many of the hardware reviews out there aren’t really telling the truth

As most advertisement-supported sites actually need their advertisers and partners happy, they also have to publish company press releases (and who believes those, really?) and somehow bend the truth about the products they review to fit the needs of manufacturers or PR agencies. Even the wild guesses they publish are mostly related to their connections with companies or, sometimes, real author’s opinions. Of course no one can prove that some random reviewer lies or twists his words to avoid telling you something that he or his advertisers don’t want you to hear. But that doesn’t mean nobody should try to point those misleading reviews or tell you the truth about some product.

Authors bend the truth about products they review to fit the needs of manufacturers and PR agencies

That’s where we enter the scene. Our team members have worked for years for some of the most popular magazines, online media and even in PR teams of multi-million IT product distribution companies. Outside our jobs we were pure enthusiast that wrote just about the pride and glory, but with these also came the knowledge that almost everything can be bought (we won’t hide the fact you can buy even us for a price, but we will betray you, eventually) and that life can be tough when you want to write for the newest hardware out there while you can’t pay even its package, which allowed companies to twist our hands they way they want to. Today we work at the end of the regular product chain as resellers in a very independent company, plus we are freelance IT journalists 9or the closes term that involves technical knowledge), straightening our contacts with end-users, and we came to the idea that will make our voices heard over the PR crowd – the Twisted Ratings and Twisted Awards. At Twisted-Reviews.com you will find (supposedly in a daily manner) twisted ratings of products, reviews, articles, other authors’ posts and other topics we would like to wrote about.

You should run away from the big numbers…

How do the TA’s and TR’s work? Twisted Awards and Twisted Ratings represent how twisted seems to be a product or review, or someone’s post, etc. The more twisted it is, the more you should avoid it! For example this article would have 01/10, which means you should trust it. Naturally, 00 out of 10 (00/10 rating) doesn’t seem to exist, as nobody tells only the truth, but we made such award just in case something is so good, that its value cannot be denied by anyone. Even God himself (but we don’t trust even him).

In few words we would rate just about anything from 1 to 10 according to how misleading or twisted it is and you should run away from the big numbers…
